I don't know if they will decrease but I know that you can packages (flights & hotel) to Vegas for around 600, it's the one place in US that offers cheap deals. Even our fax machine at work gets those deals from companies every week and Vegas is always on it. Maybe worth looking up some sites/travel agents? I do think for Vegas, it can be better value to book via middle man.
