Draft from bathroom vent

I don't know if its the best place to post this but we live in a relatively new house 5 years old and the bathroom upstairs has a vent fan leading to outside and since the weather has got colder we have a terrible draft coming through it, the bathroom is freezing at the minute.
Is there an alternative we could have fitted so that the draft isn't as bad? The other vents in the house are fitted to the roof so aren't a problem, I don't know why this is done different.

Just fit an anti backdraught shutter in the pipe. Or you can fit directly above the fan unit. You may need to remove one of the springs to ensure it opens under load.
