Hi all, I'm looking for any recommendations/ names of any design & planning engineers for a house build in East Galway. I'm finding it difficult to find an engineer even via the net as a lot don't have websites and thus I cannot see any projects completed etc. If anybody has any experience dealing with engineers I'd be grateful to hear any feedback. Thanks in advance.

I don't think we can name specific companies here but if you PM me I'd appreciate it.

    post here please

btw there is no such thing as 'design & planning engineers'

    very briefly:
    architects design
    engineers deal with structure

Sorry Bryan maybe I didn't make myself very clear in the original post. My apologies. I'm referring to consulting engineering practices in galway offering an architectural design, structural engineering and planning service under one roof. I'm looking for posts regarding any advice from people who have used specific practices and recommendations of same.

I do not want the hassle of dealing with an architect as I have a good idea of what exactly I want to build. So as stated above I would like recommendations from anyone who has used specific consulting engineering practices.

I wrote a big long rant about this, but then I deleted it. (better for everyone) I'll keep my counsel on this one.
