Hi, I only got interviewed by Deloitte, and to be honest I never expected much, I don't exactly excel in what they look for and was amazed at getting an answer.

Now about a month after the interview which I think went pretty well (although it did for everyone from what I saw) and no answer. I would take it I was rejected but the slight hope is driving me insane... I read around here and see that Big 4 surely don't have filled in all places by Jan/Feb but I really feel that at this point they must have realized I won't be any good and will just look back through other applicants or re-run the process.

Am I correct to assume I got rejected? I don't have it too bad, now I get more interviews and there are still plenty of firms to apply for but Deloitte really got me dreamy about working with them...

Have you the names of the persons that interviewed you?

Call them. Ask them. Don't even talk to HR.

    End of.

You probably got this idea from myself in milkround offers thread

I would agree with the other 2 posters above ring them :) I would've loving to be in your position at least you gained the experience of having 1 big interview and still have some sort of a chance of getting something out of it

If they have unfortunately rejected you, given its deloittes there will probably be an opportunity for you to apply again in January

I'm guessing you haven't had any luck yet with interviews?

The KPMG tax interview was my one and only. :) Rejected by the rest of the big 4 and a few smaller firms as well. Stony silence from the rest! :D

I've put in a few more applications, but yeah, I am quite relaxed about it! I need to concentrate on passing my course, and more places will become available next year because they aren't going to fill all their places from the offers they make, as some people get multiple offers and can only accept one.
