Hey ladies, not sure if there's already a thread on this my apologies if there is.
I work in Boots and our store was allowed to claim for one of these curlers so that we could try it and recommend to customers. I tried it out at the weekend and found it to be completely amazing. However, I just want to hear from people who actually have the curler and what it's like to curl your full head of hair (I only had time to do a few curls on my break). Is it hard to reach the back of your head and also in the manual it states curls are automatically alternated, I don't understand how you know prior to curling what way it is going to be - I'd find this important for the front pieces of my hair.

I'd love to hear feedback from other users.
    Thanks :)

i use the alternating curl setting but u can choose right or left turning curls. Your hair must be smooth as it doesnt like frizzy hair (can't pick it up) and you can't curl big sections of hair that is make big curls.
i usually do my own hair but it can get a bit sore on the arms holding it up if you have thick hair. you do need to look in the mirror to make sure you are not missing sections of hair. ;)

if you like curly hair definately, one of my friends loves it and is planning on getting one.
i think if you factor in paying to get ghd curls/curly blow dry it pays for itself. i've lent it to two friends and used it do do my hair for two weddings.
I don't curl my hair all the time but its very handy for special occasions.

i think this is a good review

As it says if you are handy with other tools it might be surplus but if crap like me and want something easy and quick then start saving.

Maybe keep an eye out for deals, pity this one has passed.

I want to get one as I have read quite a few good reviews. But I have a dilemma:

Does anybody know the difference between Curl Secret (customer version) and the Pro Perfect Curl (pro version)?

They look the same. Pro version is considerably more expensive so I'd rather go for the Curl Secret. But I'd like to make an informed decision before splurging so much money.

The pro curl has 3 timer settins, curl secret has 2

The pro curl can go clockwise, anticlockwise, alternating curls. The curl secret just alternating.

From sounds of things though, alternating is the best and most natural so would go for cheapest!

    Thank you! :)

I have one more, really silly question. Does the alternating setting just changes between left and right every time or is it completely random?

I'm asking because I like to curl the front sections away from my face (and go random at the back). If the alternating setting goes left then right, one by one, then it's OK. But if not, I won't get the Curl Secret just to do the back of my head.

I have the Pro Version and find it amazing. I was never good at using the GHD to do curls so this is just fantastic! You literally let the machine do all the work.
The automatic/alternate curls give a more 'natural' look and the curls settings right and left give a more 'polished' look.
I find it incredibly easy to use. It's great!

I sold my curl secret on done deal before Christmas. I used. It about five times and I really didn't like the type of curl it gave me. I find it super difficult to curl my hair so was mega excited to get the curl secret but it just didn't work with my thick frizzy hair

    Anyone still using theirs?

I am thinking of getting one...

Yep. Got it, tried it, sold it. It is not for thick, coarse, frizzy hair.
