    Hi guys,

I have been offered a job in Swindon, UK and will be looking to commute every weekend or second weekend. I haven't been there yet and was wondering if anyone could advise me on the quickest way to get there and back, regarding nearest airports etc.

    Any advice greatly appreciated

    Regards

    Spades

The closest airport to Swindon is probably Bristol (40 miles away) which you can fly to from Cork, Dublin, Shannon or Knock.

or go from Birmingham direct to Waterford and save the drive down from Cork, can't see there being much of a difference either way.

The good thing about Swindon is it is on the London to Bristol fast line, so Heathrow is good, as is Southampton.

Bastard of a journey to do every weekend though.
