Hi there, I have an Irish test tomorrow that I would really like to get full marks in.

If any of you have time to spare I would appreciate it if you could proofread this.

Oíche dhubh dhorcha a bhí ann. Bhí báisteach throm ag titim agus bhí na bóithre sleamhain. Go tobann chualamar pléascadh ollmhór.

Scread mé in ard mo chinn is mo ghutha. Bhíomar scéimhlithe inár mbeatha. Nuair a stad an carr d'féach mé i dtreo mo Mham. Buíochas le Dia nach raibh muid gortaighe. Nuair a fuair muid amach as an gcarr sheas mé i mo staic le faitíos nuair a chonaic mé an carr eile. Níor chreid mé mo shúile nuair a chonaic mé an radharc.

Rith mé go tapa i dtreo an carr eile. Chuaigh mé suas chuig an carr agus d'fhéach mé isteach an fhuinneog. Bhí an tiománaí gan aithne gan urlabhra. Bhí creathán i mo ghlór nuair a ghlaoigh mé ar na seirbhísí tarrhála.
Rinne mé mo sheacht ndícheall doras an carr a oscailt. Ach bhí sé fanach agam. Ar deireadh chonaic mé na Gardaí agus otharcharr ag teacht. Lig mé osna faoisimh asam. Láithreach bonn tógadh an tiománaí chuig an ospidéal. Ní raibh aoin duine gortaithe go ródhona.

If you don't have that much time, could you please tell me if these sentences are correct?
    • Nuair a fuair muid amach as an gcarr sheas mé i mo staic le faitíos nuair a chonaic mé an carr eile.

    • Rith mé go tapa i dtreo an carr eile.
I have trouble when it comes to whether or not I should add a g/h or nothing at all.

    Thanks all!

D'fhéadfá an leagan seo a usáid....'Nuair a d'éirigh linn éalú as an gcarr....' in áit 'Nuair a fuair muid amach as an gcarr...'??

Súil agam go gcuideoidh na ceartuithe seo leat, súil agam nach bhfuil aon bhotún iontú.

There are a few little things here & there but I'm stuck for time right now so there's just one particular item I want to highlight for you, as it's a fairly common error.

"Fuair mé" means I got, as in I acquired. You NEVER use "fuair mé amach as" / "fuair mé suas" etc to indicate that you got out of something, got up out of bed etc. You can use "d'éirigh mé amach as an charr", "d'éalaigh mé ón charr", "thuirling mé ón charr" etc.
