Visible deadwork

    I'm looking at a planning condition on a house build that reads

    "Visible deadwork not to exceed 300mm"

    Would this refer to the height of blockwork above ground before the heavier external render starts?

    I would read that as anything below finished floor level. It must be a sloping site with "cut"? Anything more may leave items like windows and roof/wall ratios out of proportion imo.
    Sloping mounds could do away with that issue usually

    Yes it's a sloping site. Not sure what "cut" means.
