I bought a printer from amazon.de but received tracking information and wondering where they ship from. Looks like the US to me so would that leave me liable for customs?
    Tracking Details:
    Event Event Date Event Location
Exported i-Parcel and in transit to country of destination Nov 18 2013 11:10AM Carlstadt NJ US
Package details received electronically from Seller Nov 18 2013 9:41AM CARLSTADT NJ US
The address received for your shipment is being reviewed to ensure accurate delivery Nov 18 2013 7:22AM CARLSTADT NJ US
Received at i-Parcel Nov 18 2013 7:22AM CARLSTADT NJ US

No, that's up to the Seller to sort out.

He'll either be paying German VAT or Irish VAT (Depending on whether hes over the 70k threshhold)

Well its Amazon.de thats the seller so I thought it was a bit unusual for it to be shipping from the USA.

Lots of US Sellers are selling in the UK/Europe.

More difficult for them but they get a larger market :)
