    Hi,

I just got a survey done on a property I'm intending to buy. The engineer says that there are some minor repairs needed. Can anybody give me an estimate for how much the following may cost?

    - Attic has a lot of moisture and needs proper ventilation. Engineer suggested installing ventilation tiles on the roof and treating the timbers as a precaution.

    - A fascia/soffit board on one corner of the house is damaged and needs to be replaced.

    - There is a small gap in the verge of the roof that will need to be filled with mortor

    - There is a steep declining driveway into the house and the engineer is concerned that the draining will need some upgrade to cope with excessively heavy groundwater/rain.

Any rough estimates for any of these jobs would be very welcome. Thanks :)

EDIT: I think I maybe should have put this in 'Prices/Costs', so if a Mod could move it, that would be great!

On the drainage issue, you need to find out if there has been flooding issues already. If it has been an issue you may need a bigger pipe put in. The best thing to do is have a drainage company look at it and they will advise the best course of action. <snip>
