Road Bridge Analysis

Hi all,

I'm in my third year in college doing Civil Engineering. This year I'm doing my thesis on masonry arched bridge analysis. As part of my thesis I have to find a case study. This would be a masonry arched bridge in Ireland that has been analysed for traffic loads. I was wondering if somebody on this forum may know of such an analysis or even have the contact details of somebody at the NRA who could help.

Irish Rail would also have a lot of similar bridges, both under and over the railway. On the reconstruction of the line between Clonsilla and Dunboyne, one had to be knocked because the arch had all but failed, while several others need a lot of work, especially to the parapets.

After contacting the NRA I got a phone number for Liam Duffy so will call him tomorrow and see if he can help.
