Tablet for steaming football

Are there any cheapish tablets on the market that I could use to connect to my TV via HDMI? If I got it connected, does anyone know if it's possible to stream games? I'd like to have a dedicated tablet to sit beside my TV so I can have my laptop free to do other stuff.
