what a joke of a paper, only bought it because a friend was interviewed in it.

I don't think I have ever seen such tripe in my life. Front page story was some idiotic mother saying that Madeleine's abductor tried to take her daughter first. Yeah and you think with all the press coverage they wouldn't have come forward 4 years ago.

    Who actually buys this crap?

Good sports coverage Is it's main feature I imagine.

Is it though? I don't follow soccer, but the writing for the rugby is atrocious and shows very little analysis or even understanding beyond the guest columns by actual players.

It's the budweiser of newspapers. Loads of people buy it, loads of people like it. Personally, I reckon it's a kids cartoon, but there you go. I doubt Buds the best beer out there either, but horses for courses.

Wouldn't use this ****e to line a birdcage.

Half the thing is sports, the other half is celeb stories and stuff they found on the internet. The fact that tabloids still exist shows how ****ing thick people are.

Anyone who pays for this garbage is an utter moron.

I buy it every week to see what Fergus has to say about my horoscope.
And also to see if Dear Deirdre has responded to my letter about whether I should divorce my wife and run off with my cat.

    Don't buy The Sun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,952 ✭✭✭Lando Griffin

Used to have wall to wall Page 3 girls on the walls in the lunch container on one of the sites I worked on back in the day.
Nothing like a breakfast roll a hot cuppa and The Sun to start the day.
Miss the News in briefs section.
If you ever needed to paper over the cracks of the boom The Sun was your man.

I don't understand how it even makes money, nobody reads it and it costs a euro.

I was just spitballing the mccanne date, has it really been that long.

It's basically just the English version with an Irish cover I'm sure so they pay feck all to produce it here.

It's cheaper than toilet paper, and it shows. :pac:
