I have a MF165 and I got a bale spike During the summer. I moved a bale of hay over the weekend and I noticed the bale was held parell or even slightly dipping back toward the ground. As one stage I noticed the bale about to slip off the spike when i was on the road. I would have tightened the top link but it is tightened as far as possible and the spike doesn't point upwards (if you know what I mean). I wonder if the top link is too long. Is there a different length for different tractors or piece of equipment? What can i do to stop leaving bales all over the roads?

The 165 would have to have a valve on it for the hydraulic toplink

On some of the older tractors, you could alter the link arms too to get a bit more outta them. I'm not sure about the 165's, we never had one.
We have a couple of toplinks, different lengths for different jobs.

I want to live in a world where I'm free. Where if I choose to go the piss, i can choose to stay in bed in the morning, cos I know the auld fella will do milking. Where I can talk shyte around the ring and do feck all most days. Talk of small cows and big calves. If I want 10 top links and only 5 yokes to put on the massey. I WANT A HYDRAULIC TOP LINK
