Beginner dj

    Hi I will be going to ucd next year and I'm wanting to take up some new stuff and was wondering if there is anything for beginner dj and when I say beginner I mean I know nothing ha :) any help would be great

    UCD does have a DJ Society but it is a little hit and miss. Last year there were some decent events and tutorials, but I've heard nothing from this year. That said, societies arn't always the best for keeping members up to date.

    Just to further add to the mix, don't expect to get gigs in UCD or in Dublin. Its a seriously challenging environment. Most clubs and nights are run by the same companies and use the same DJs. Its a very hard act to get in on, in my opinion anyway.

    I say if you want to make it anywhere as DJ learn some production first,too many people out there wanting to DJ for recognition and ****...If you want do it for fun its gona be pretty expensive as a pair of decks and mixer will set you back 500+
