htc desire s,power button broke

    hey guys i have a htc desire s and the power button has packed up and i cannot get the phone on to get all my stuff from it.
    has anyone any tip maybe tricks to power on?
    is it hard to change the switch?
    i know i can sent it in to get fixed but dont they wipe it too?

    would you not have kept files etc on the SD card?

    Try charging it for an hour and then try power it on. If the Input switch is totally knackered you may need to bring directly to a repair centre/shop and specifically ask for the part to be replaced and specify that you dont want the phone to be software upgraded or factory reset.

    You could also try and plug it into the USB on your PC. Some phones will connect so you can access whatever files you wish
