Getting an A1 in Higher Level Biology

I'm aiming for an A1 in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry, I know this is extremely difficult so I would appreciate any advice that fellow students or past students could give me, just so I know what I could do to improve my chances.

I really need to do well in these subjects as I am aiming for approximately 560 points for Medicine and these are by far my best subjects.

I have a natural ability to recall
definitions and facts for biology especially and my results for both range from 96-100%. However, I have been told that an understanding of the syllabus alone is not enough for an A and that the key is something to do with learning off how the papers are marked, and the various key words that are needed.

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for studying to achieve an A... I know that even though i have achieved 100% in a good few tests that THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY LC A1 STANDARD, they are just class tests and summer exams.
