bags of sharp sand , 20mm stone and compost for 1 euro

    a good few 25kg bags of sharp sand , lawn sand , 20mm stone and pea shingle and also several 50 litre bags of multipurpose compost going for 1 euro a bag in homebase . bought a few bags of stone to use as drainage . all the items are out back in gardening centre on 2 pallets.

    good question , i use them for the various planters and plant pots ive collected over the years for drainage at the base of them .
    i just looked at the bags and it doesnt say what coverage you would get the bags of stone were reduced from 3 euro 49 cents to 1 euro as they got a bit torn during transport so had to be sold off on the cheap .

    i think the bags of compost actually are 2 euro each , reduced from something like 7 euro down to 2 euro .

    All depends on how deep you want them! For coverage of each square metre to a depth of 25mm, you'd want 2 to 2.5 bags and double that for every additional 25mm of depth (i.e. min. 4 bags per sq. metre for 50 mm depth etc.)
