    Hope this is the right place to post this?

    My 8 year old has expressed an interest in learning to play the guitar, I've noticed that there is an offer at the moment for a Martin Smith Accoustic guitar, but its a full size one. My question is would this be too big for an 8 year old, it says its a 39" body. My son is very tall for his age, and I just wondered if this would be suitable.

    I know I could get him to try one, but I'd like it to be a suprise from Santa if possible.
