Adult dependant issue.

Hi. I need some clarification on an issue.
My wife was made unemployed two years ago and myself one year ago. At the time of myself being made unemployed i was put down as an adult dependant to make our claim faster as it was so close to Christmas.
We found out at the beginning of January that my wife was pregnant with our second child and would be due September. Around last April she had a meeting with FAS and was told that she would have to do a course soon after the baby was born. The plan was always for herself to give up work after our second was born, and she really doesn't want to leave the baby after just 3 months. I myself am doing a few part time courses and hopefully soon will be going on a full time couse
Anyways after some advice from citizens information we got our claim reversed and she is now my dependant, Last week after another visit to citizens information to clarify our position they told us that Adult dependants have to be seeking work and that she will more than likely have do a FAS course.
Is this true? Any advice would be great

    That information was incorrect.

A Qualified Adult is not subject to the genuinely seeking work condition that applies to the claimant - i.e. the Qualified Adult does not have to look for a job if they do not want to.
