The nightclub thing I can understand, but 1 pub in your whole life? No family gatherings or social events that required your presence in a pub more then once?

I'm 27 and have never been in a nightclub. I've been to quite a few pubs though. I don't understand the though of paying €10-15 to get into a spot just to pay even more for drinks while listening to more than likely rubbish music.

Surly you have had dinner in a pub during your life.

How do you spend time? How do you celebrate yours or friends birthdays? Do you have many wacky friends at all? Do you drink at all? Many people drink at home rather than in pubs, did you just instantly know that was what suited you the best after your first visit or are you completely dry and non alcohol partaking?

Or did you perhaps kill someone on your first occasion and get imprisoned/barred from all pubs within 50 miles of your home...which at least wouldn't be as terribly weird as you being a dry ****e ;)

Don't you get the OPs message, he simply doesn't mix with the commoner pub going proletariat !

Good for you OP, I'm with you 100% of the way.

He says he's - "only even been to 1 pub in my life" - so he has probably been in the same pub several times over.

I think your other thread explains why you don't go out much!

Put away the laptop and get out there.

They aren't missing much, the music is shyte, loud, and makes conversation impossible. The one's I have been dragged to by friends are kips, takes too long to get served due to a couple of dozen people barking for drinks all at the same time, not the staffs fault though they all work at 100mph. Also nightclubs are often full of skangers that go out looking for a fight and I can't go to one without seeing some fella start on some other fella at the bar at 2am when they stop serving. Plus I don't understand the logic in paying to get in and paying even more for drink, as nightclubs jack up the price compared to pubs.

Hate nightclubs and I say it as a 25 year old and I didn't like them as an 18 year old either. Worked in one when I was 18 too might I add, God, the dickheads I had to deal with when I worked there. Made alright money on people that had more drink in them than a leg to stand on though. My first time in a nightclub actually was the day I started working in one! I'm more of a pub person, with some half decent rock music.

It is uncommon, but I don't think it's weird.

what fecking nightclubs do ye go to?

Nightclub I used to fequent on Tuesdays played 90s and 00s classics and was free in before twelve <3 You're going to the wrong places buddy. Actually. Since I moved to an Unnammed City on this fine isle I've never paid more than €5 into a nightclub. Maybe 6 on one occasion.

I refuse to pay more than a fiver in anywhere, and I'll be quite miffed if I can't get onto the guestlist/freelist to make it even cheaper. :D

Cannot understand paying 15 quid into an Irish nightclub.

Went to nightclubs a good bit in my 20s, total rip off job, tenner or more to get in past some sour faced bouncer and a pure cattle mart inside.

DO YOU REALISE WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO? I WAS AN EXTRA ON FAIR CITY. HAVE SOME RESPECT.

    Like that? :D

also OP, I'd recommend going to one, so you can rant and rave with the rest of us over high prices and crappy experiences. :o And how you keep going back to have that one enjoyable night which keeps you going til the next one. Vicious circle. :p
