Goals for learning the piano

I'm 28 and have decided to learn the piano.
Initially I'm going to learn what I can by myself and might look into lessons later.

    I got myself a Casio cdp120 yesterday.

I've been practising scales and trying to get to grips with hand independence.

I'd like to set myself some goals however I'm unsure as to what they should be in 2 weeks, a month, 3 months??

    Any ideas?

can you doodle around and play melodies yet?
are you able to use both hands?
One thing could be to try learn a basic blues riff in E or even C, using both hands.

    everyone is different.

a fair goal for one person in a month will be too much for someone else in a year!

    just have fun!
