    Hi all.
    I have an 07 Avensis D4D and I am thinking of upgrading it for a 10 or 11 model. I never had any problems with it but they are known to have head gasket problems. Just wondering have Toyota sorted that problem with them?

    The head gasket issue was with the 2.2 D-4D. The 2.0 D-4D is the same engine carried over from your model and doesn't suffer from HG failure.

    Avoid 2.2 diesel Avensis as the fix cost 7000 when HG goes
    2.0 d4d 2003 to 2008 is unbeatable. Engine give no problems. I have 650,000 km and still going well

    Sorry Colm. Bought my Avensis 2007 in 2010 with 179,000 km still on same clutch only a few prob like drive shaft wheel bearings alternator and starter now have 650,000. Used as a taxi. Best car ever but the 2.2 is a bitch and must be avoided
