dole rate for single parent with two kids

    Hi, does anybdy know what the rate is fora single parent with two children? I am working still but it doesn't look good :-(

    Assuming its jobseekers allowance and if you are be deemed nil means then its €247.60. If you are in receipt of maintenance this this is also assessed. If you have enough prsi contributions you will be entitled to jobseekers benefit which is not means tested but is paid at a rate of you average weekly earnings in the relevant year e.g. for 2013 its paid on 2011 earnings... if your earnings were less that €300 pw then you will be better off applying for job seekers allowance. You sw office should be able to advise which would be better for you.

    Depending on the age of the children, the most suitable payment could be One Parent Family or Family Income Supplement.
