Was out earlier with my mate and the dog. She was working well and managed to put up a snipe which I didn't shoot. Also missed a sitter of a woodcock and she put up a pheasant but I was on wrong side if the ditch and couldn't get a shot.
Anyway she was moving up a ditch nose bet to the ground and was a huge gap in the ditch which had another gap about 10 yards away. She was really interested in this part but shed only go in on right side and was extremely hesitant about the left side. She wouldn't go in. She just sat staring at it and constantly looking at me with an almost worried look on her face.
I'm thinking maybe a badger has a set there. Would that be a reason for her to not go in? If so il avoid that ditch.
    Any suggestions??

    Yeah the pup.
She just wouldn't go in the left side. So then shed go to the right side and walk in a bit and come out and go to left side but wouldn't go in.
