Do you have a wish list and what's on it?

Mine is pretty small at the moment but maybe it will grow after I read some of yours!

    1. Urban decay naked 3
    2. Real techniques stippling brush and some more eye brushes as I'm starting to get more into make up
    3. Trilogy rose hip oil
    4. Superfacialist cleansing oil

    :-)

    Urban Decay - Naked 3
    A curling wand
A Soap & Glory set (the ones that go for 50% off just before Christmas)
MAC brushes - 209 eyeliner brush, 214 short shader brush, 130 short duo fibre, 138 tapered face brush

    That's it I think :)

I *really* want the Bobbi Brown old hollywood eye palette, but at £59/€67.50 it's far too expensive, and not worth it in my opinion.

    http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2300/27082/Gifts/Sets-Palettes/Makeup-Palettes-Sets/Old-Hollywood-Eye-Palette/Limited-Collection/index.tmpl

    http://www.brownthomas.com/whats-new/old-hollywood-eye-palette/invt/41x1830x18567

I adore Bobbi Brown products, and my bf got me their Navy & Nude palette for Christmas (bought it months ago before it was all sold out) and I have their Ultra Nude Eye Palette, which I use most days. I adore it.

I might just wait and see if it is reduced in the sales and then get it, but if not then I'll do without it I think, as much I'd love it, I just don't think it's worth that price.

All lovely products. Those soap and glory sets are great value but unfortunately I don't like the smell of the majority of their products. Might get one as a gift for someone else though as they look so lovely and such good value.

I agree, I think the smell is horrible so the set would be wasted on me.
I do use this serums though which I love and luckily it doesn't have the usual s&g scent.

    For Christmas I want the
Senna form a brow kit from camerareadycosmetics.com
My eyebrows are very light and thin so would love a more defined brow.

Also I want to get a few tubes of Revlon nutri creme so I can play around with colours and highlights and lowlights etc.

I think I have that scrub your nose in it somewhere in my room, it's minty isn't it? That reminds me I want to get the radiance exfoliator from Sanctuary.

I adore the S&G serum, the reviews for it are generally very positive too, the only problem some people seemed to have was having a faulty one where the product wouldn't come out. I love the serum so much that when I came to the end of my first one I knew I wouldn't be able to get any for another couple of days so I had to get a knife and hack through the really hard plastic to get the remainder out, took me ages and after all that there was only around a days worth left lol Love the serum though.

Thebodyshop.co.uk have a discount code expiring today, saw it on the bargain alert forum, I have never ordered from them but I think people use parcel motel to get them delivered. They have a code for £25 off when you spend £50!
    Babyliss big hair rotating styler.

That babyliss big hair styler is fab, love it for special occasions.

The other half was ordering some Yankee candles today on Cara pharmacy for his mother and was looking for something to up the value to €50 so he would get free shipping so I got him to get me the Kardashian ocean liner in Azure.

I really want this too I'm pretty sure it's in the set that will be the sanctuary boots star gift so I'm waiting for that, I've been waiting for it to come up for weeks!

I also want the naked 3 and that's it I think!

I actually might have enough beauty items :o

There's a few hair pomades I want but I won't bore everyone to death! ;)

I also want a set of 'Ace' combs, you can't get them here, they're great for styling.

I'd love some small batch soaps, like from the Irish home brewers and stuff.

As for big brand stuff I really want Spice Bomb from Viktor & Rolff. I'd love another bottle of Aqua di Gio but they're impossible to find, and no matter what the shop assistants say, Aqua di Gioa is NOT THE SAME THING!!!

I'm also coveting the naked 1 pallet. I went in to debenhams today and all they have is naked 2 and I think the woman thought I was asking about naked 3 when I asked if they would have it before Christmas. Is there anywhere else in dublin city centre that sells it?

It's available on the Debenhams website. You can get it delivered to a store for free and I got an email today to say that they will have 10% off all beauty from tomorrow.

Ive checked ebay and there are lots of unused naked 1 pallettes there are still some naked 1's being sold in urban decay dept of debenehams limerick and some left on the debenhams.ie site..

Your best bet though would be ebay,as stocks on debenhams online i would say are selling fast and limerick there are not too many naked 1's left i have to go in during the week for mine yet but im thinking now of just ebaying it,could be easier for me and no dissapointments..

So,my brother has just got onto the phone asking what I want for Christmas. My Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation is almost out and I really liked it,but I found the coverage a teeny bit light.I don't want a real heavy foundation either though, just enough to cover up some light acne scars.Does anyone have any recommendations?I liked the Benefit Oxygen Wow one,but am open to other suggestions too. :)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 602 ✭✭✭hotbabe1992

I remember getting benefit playsticks it gave good coverage but was light enough too.I would put on two layers of it,and there wasnt a lot of make up in it,so it didnt last long and was really expensive, not worth it,for value anyway.Unless you enjoy frittering money away for a small quantity of make up.That was really my only gripe with it,other than that the product itself was faultless.

I know this is going to sound a bit cheapy but one im using at the moment and that is very good is essence matte mousse in shade matte 04,it is the palest shade and goes on beautifully easy to apply and no mess, great with a brush a sponge or plain ole fingers,it glides on easy and you only need one layer of it so it covers well and is light on the skin.Quantity wise there is a lot in it and it lasts.

Another one is estee lauder double wear(35 euros but worth it a lot of make up in the bottle lasts and last and lasts),messy to put on but with a brush its easy peasy,it gives good coverage but can feel a little drying which i dont like, but having said that i would go out and buy another one if i ran out tommorrow.

Urban decay naked foundation in 01 is a pale shade, easy to put on but a little too light(coverage wasnt as expected)i need to use concealer with this one.

Maybelline matte mousse an all time favourite of mine in shade cameo is a good one as well, its like essence but i think my essence one is better colour wise and easier/quicker to blend which is what you need when you have to get somewhere in a hurry..

    M

I caved and picked one up last week. I had a bunch of job interviews to go to so I wanted my hair to look pretty and I've been having a hard time styling it since I got it cut. At least that's how I'm trying to justify the purchase anyway :)

It's not as easy to use as some of the youtube videos make it out to be (that could be just because I'm really bad at styling hair tho). It is still very good tho, just not the magical wonder solution that I hoped it would be. I'm quite happy with it anyway.

Thanks to ye both for the replies, I saw the reviews and YouTube videos singing its praise but it's very difficult to know, I think that is going to be my Christmas present to myself. Thanks again for replies :-) :-)
Tiddlypeeps good luck with the job interview, hope you get the job you want the most

I have the Babyliss rotating brush for the last year.

My hair is very thick - I use it as a smoothing tool more than anything. Sometimes when I blowdry my hair it still looks like a bush so this kind of sorts that out. I've never been able to get that real swishy hair as its not hot enough for me and not powerful enough but I am glad I bought it.
