1977 or '88 Irish Hallmark

    My best research informed me that the Dublin crest is for the 1988 Millennium. However, I can't find post 1922 Irish Hallmarks online. The only similar hallmark is the British 1977 mark, but I was under the impression that British and Irish hallmarks were different, so, would it be a safe bet to assume that this is the 1988 Irish Hallmark or is it a case of a 1977 stamp with the additional 1988 mark added later?
