    Have been looking for a TV Dongle for my tv for some time and seen this on iBood ;
    http://www.ibood.com/ie/en/
Seemed like a good deal, but hoped someone with a bit more knowledge might be able to advise.

Not Saorview approved and no guarantee you would pick up anything other than wifi with those little aerials

Are any Android TV Sticks Saorview approved? They're essentially a small PC meant to make your TV a smart TV for apps, internet, media etc, not picking up TV channels.

At least that's all I ever saw them as.

It can be purchased here for less but you will need to wait a 2-3 weeks for delivery.

It will allow you to run android on your TV. You will need to pair a BT Keyboard or mouse with it (not included) to control it and set it up initially though it seems you can control it from your android mobile (if you have one) via the app, once its up and running.

    Main uses for it?

    - Streaming media to it from a plex server on another PC in the house
    - Watching Netflix
    - Other streaming services (4oD, Hulu, etc.)

Other uses that are pretty pointless
    - Surfing the net on your TV
    - Playing Angry birds on your TV

The spec isn't terrible, there's a slew of similar things out with varying comparisons in functionality - Chromecast, Roku and many more.

Looks like one of the better dongles but the price isn't really a bargain.

I'd probably go for one of the more popular models as these things tend to be more about firmware support rather than hardware.

Stick xbmc on it with fusion add-on & you've everything you need from movies to sports.

    Thanks for all the feedback.
What would be one if the more popular brands?
Any that I've looked at don't seem to be well known brands at all.

As far as I know this is one of the better ones, and is quite popular.

Not that up to scratch on these though.
