    I have a g300 running stock ics.
    Sometimes the phone slows a bit. Are there any apps that would show me what is slowing the cpu?

    Far more likely that it is a RAM (or lack of) issue.

    Settings > Apps (or Application Manager) > Running should tell you how much free RAM you have and what's using it.

    The numbers vary continually. I am really looking for something that would monitor cpu & ram over say 24 hours.

    Is an apps battery consumption a guide to how much ram it's using?

    If an app is overly active it will hog RAM and if there is less RAM available it will slow things down. It will also increase battery drain.

    When I had a Hero (which was only 400MHz) it ran faster when there was more RAM available.

    What about using something like Better Battery Stats over a few days to analyse what is happening in the background?

    Another option would be to root the phone and install something like CM as this is much more 'stock' Android without the bloatware.

    <scrap that>
    I've just done a quick search for your phone and it seems that it's a bit slow from the outset so your best bet may be a new phone.

    Sorry
