    Hi All,

Just a practical post for anyone looking to protect their iPhone from snow related damage, PhoneWizz on Moore St are selling OtterBox's for €15, RRP €35. They have silicone port plugs to stop snow from getting up inside the works, and reinforced corners in case it bounces off ice. I find them great, and I'm very hard on my poor phone!

He also replaces smashed screens in about 30 mins (if you decide against the case!), great service :)

You certainly could, but you might have some difficulty answering it?!

Open pocket pull zip lock apart remove phone hardly rocket science! It also maintains the battery life longer than any cover as it provides more thermal insulation than any commercial cover.

Probably not as handy as many people would want but great idea.

Its the standard phone cover of the UIAGM mountain guide but sure they no less than we do right!

It's true about keeping it warm to aid the battery life, so I keep mine in my inside pocket next to my warm heart :-)

It's when you take it out of the ziplock & drop it in the snow that the trouble begins- that's why it's worth having a good case ;)

I can definitely recommend Otterbox Commuter cases...got one for my S3 on Amazon about a year ago for about £11. ( that was after paying € 195 to get the screen fixed

Yes that's the one, nicebutdim! He also fixes the screen for between €30 and €50, depending on phone model. Handy to know! ;)
