I love cats, I keep one 12 year old at the moment, I lost my other little guy Seamus in September, a car killed him outside my home, I still miss him terribly.

I keep a dog also, a Jack Russell.

A favorite animal moment of mine was back in March 2010 when I held a Siberian Tiger cub in Bangkok, I was on my way to Perth at the time and we had a three day layover.

The little guy licked my face, he a had a salty tongue just like domestic cats. :pac:

It's like sandpaper, put your hand down to one. Cats groom others when they feel comfortable with them, it's a sign of trust and respect.

I don't like cats. They are only out for themselves.

    Dogs for the win.

When I was in college I'd a cage pet rat called Dmitri, My cat killed him one day when he got out his cage in my room. The cat I kept at that time would usually lounge around our apartment. In my folly one day I forgot to lock Dmitris cage when I was rushing off to a lecture and left the cat in the same room.

Cats, meerkats, pigs, dogs, donkeys. My cat and best friend for 8 years died last year, I cried my heart out for two weeks. Now I have a new fella who is gentle and sweet, but not as much of a character.

I am mad about pigs, I think they are brilliant creatures. I would love a piece of land in the future to keep a few pigs and donkeys on.

I am not a cat fan.

The lady 2 doors up from me got two kittens a few years ago (why one wouldn't do, in a housing estate I don't know) anyway, the two cats have been joined by a feral cat which is a female, her two are male.

Cue, lots of midnight squealing and general riding match taking place outside my house for nights on end.

Now it seems there's at least 3 kittens running around the place

They're shyting all over my flower beds and back garden, and with a three year old, and a one year old child who play in the garden, I am beginning to form an opinion that I have the right to dispose of these animals in whichever way I see fit.

I'm not a cruel person, so am going to see my options for removing them via live traps.

Boardsies, I'm open to suggestion here. Any one any experience with this?

Love dogs, my ball of fluff is my best friend, he never tells my secrets.

Like cats. We have one but I can't spend too much time with her because the dog gets jealous.

Love cattle too, especially cows and calves. Could spend ages looking at them.

Dogs. All and any types of dog. There are no words for how amazing dogs are. We had our little lady 14 years, the most gentle, loving, friendly huggable little bundle of fluff. A hug from her made everything better. I miss her pretty much every day :(

If they are not your animals you have no right to touch them. They are somebody's pets. Go and talk to the woman, she should at least have them all neutered and the kittens rehomed when the time is right. Not doing so is very irresponsible on her part, but it's not your place to dispose of them.

    The kittens are feral.
    Their mother is feral.

The council want nothing to do with them. The lady (friend of mine) has tried catching them herself, there's nothing she can do either.

If my kids get cat faeces on their clothes, hands or worse, they become fair game. ;)

I like pretty much all animals, but I do find it hard to understand how people would prefer cats to dogs. Don't get me wrong, I like cats, and I understand if someone has a cat they love that they'll say they prefer cats- but in general I could never prefer cats to dogs.

    Calm down dear.

    You read this part,
I'm not a cruel person, so am going to see my options for removing them via live traps.
    right?

That would mean I take them away to be rehomed / sanctuaries etc.

Besides that, I'll give me Children more protection than some flea ridden, disease spreading stray cats all day, every day.

So much for "I'm not a cruel person". Just because they are wild doesn't give you the right to hurt them or 'dispose' of them.

Call one of the animal charities and keep your nasty inclinations to yourself

It takes time to get a cats trust and respect. They won't fawn over you like a dog will. They're intelligent and calculating, humans are the same so they're naturally drawn to them.

Once you establish a common bond with a cat though it lasts for life, its a give and give relationship both party's benefit. A cat will never forgive you if you physically abuse it however, the dog will take it and still love you.

I never said I'd hurt them, if you can find a post of mine that says otherwise, please by all means, point it out.

Because they are wild does however give me the right to get rid of them from my property.

I guess you'd give rats/mice etc the same protection around your house, yeah?

My Dogo Argentino I love and trust that dog more than 98% of people I know.

I'd love to grab a feel of a grown lion though. I'd say its amazing.

Do sharks count? It's a life long dream to swim with a great white. I couldn't even describe what it be like to be in the cage and have a great white swim up and try eat you. Amazing!!
