My view on economic state of Ireland

Enda Kenny has done a fantastic job just to start off my point He is getting the country stable and in a few years he will be a hero.

There is some people who would rather be on welfare, single mothers who get a free house is something that makes my blood boil. Its basically rewarding them, and will they ever work, I don't think so.

We cant be critical of the majority of the youth in the country because nearly all of them want to work. Going through four years in college and then been on the dole and having to emigrate because the work is not there. A lot of people think I.T is booming, it is for people who have five years experience because training up a graduate takes a long time, this just shows how crap I.T courses are in Ireland. College in I.T should be based on real life scenarios, I think the BS courses should be cut and everyone knows what they are. If young people unwilling to upskill then good riddance. Cut there dole. Fas courses are a joke and should be undertaking Springboard courses to upskill

Our taxes aren't that high compared to the rest of the world and Ireland are one the last country to bring in the property tax.

The people who are struggling in Ireland are the people who took out mortgages and their work dried up. Not a lot of people predicted it and the banks are soly to blame for giving out too much money. Cant cut there mortgage but let them pay what they can afford until the work comes around again. If unwilling to upskill then to hell with them.

It will get better and people have to suck it up. Are people on welfare really in poverty and my answer is NO! Just the people who have mortgages. I know the job situation is in strife at the moment but it should get better.

Leaving cert also needs to be upgraded. Leave the junior cert the way it is and 5th and 6th year should be level 6/7 courses depending on ability with 4th year helping students pick there career path.

    Rant over

The Education system is nothing to write home about. Kenny uses Goebbels tactic of telling a big enough lie enough times until it becomes the truth. Ruairi Quinn to his credit recently spoke up and exposed this bullsh1t. Take 3rd level for instance TCD, UCD, UL, UCC, NUI Galway Maynooth rank way down on the global ladder.

Companies come here for the corporation tax.

Learning off things in exams that will never ever be used in the workplace is complete and utter pointless. A person who does computer science just gets a taste of all I.t Paths, should be courses based on databases and particular programming languages and networking all on their own so they will be ready for the workplace. Current setup is a joke as no graduate is ready for the work place. For god sake they dont even teach SQL server or windows server in college

This can apply to any any courses not just computing ones.
