Are the reviews based on it being worth 60 odd quid or based on people thinking the saved a few hundred quid and are delighted with their 'bargain'?

Well I've been reading other forums, where it's widely known that these are 60 quid watches and not expensive swiss pieces. Have seen lots of positive reviews around, but was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience.

I haven't owned one but wouldn't have any issue buying one.
That one is a budget auto watch no doubt but very popular in the states.

The likes of Orient, Casio, Citizen, Vostok, Seiko and others all make entry level auto divers from €50-150 range and all are of decent quality. I have owned an Orient Mako and a Seiko Monster and no issues with either.

If you like it and the price is right then pull that trigger :D

I've got one here, not for me but a present for a friend so it's still in it's virgin packaged state and I haven't sized or worn it, just put a few fingerprints on it :D

For the money (I paid 80 Euro shipped) it's very good.

Most importantly, there's the Seiko movement which handwinds and has a second stop ...no other watch I know in this price packet offers both.

The watch itself appears well made, I can't see any obvious flaws. The case edges on the top are razor sharp and the brushing is a bit deeper/rougher than it perhaps should be but it looks ok and as the bottom edges are rounded it should wear ok.

I haven't turned the bezel as it's still covered in film so I can't say how good or bad the bezel action is, seems to be a tad too stiff though.

Bracelet and clasp look decent enough, links appear to be solid. End links aren't solid but folded but they seem to be well attached without gaps or rattles.

Last but not least there's the packaging ...a good percentage of the manufacturing cost seems to have been spent there. The watch is smothered in cling film, there is copious paperwork and the box (even though it's piss-yellow) looks pretty impressive end very usable as a dedicated storage box.

One thing to keep in mind is that at ca. 40 mm the watch is pretty small and on a beefy wrist it would look fairly dainty.

Would I buy one for myself?
On a pure value for money aspect ...yes, absolutely!
Other than that? no way ...I don't like mercedes hands, I hate the date cyclops, I'm not keen on the big "Invicta" stamp on the case side and last but not least I wouldn't personally wear such an obvious wannabe Rolex clone.

But where this watch is going clones are all the rage so I hope it will be well received.

Hey guys, as the title suggests I'm looking at this watch. Specifically this one:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Invicta-Automatic-Chronograph-Stainless-8926/dp/B000JQFX1G/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

Anyone have one? I know the brand is a cheapo brand, known for looks over function, but the reviews I've seen of this model are great. I like the look, id be using it as a casual/work watch.

A couple of people on WUS have mod'd them to remove the branding. The movement and build quality is supposed to be good. I think they look fine but have only seen them in photos. One of the previous posters mentioned the sharp edges. Are those on the bezel edge? I have an old folex I bought in the 90's and it's bezel is so sharp it will ruin shirt cuffs and the like.

No. I was talking about the top edge of the case itself.
A top quality watch will look sharp edged but feel smooth ..this one looks and feels sharp ...one less step in manufacturing, the savings have to be made somewhere.
