I found a course I love In Nuig which is Civil law. I'm doing my leaving cert and will only be 17 going into college until the January plus I wont know anyone as I live far away from Galway, Any advise from anyone about the course? or about meeting new people would be extremely appreciated!.
    Thank you !

I moved to Galway to do civil law, there's a couple in the course on boards. First year is lovely, it's great. Second year is pretty tough, and third year is two. It's a lovely course. NUIG has some fantastic societies and is great for meeting people. If you're interested, I'd say go for it!

Thank you very much, you have helped me a lot ! :) do you have any opinion on student accommodation? I've heard mixed opinions on Corrib Village? I'd like to be with lots of first years, but also to have a comfortable decent living area If that's not too much to ask for! :)

Corrib village as accommodation isnt that bad..it just all depends on who you get lumped with in your apartment whether it will be comfortable and a decent living area or not!...
house sharing with randomers was always a good way for me to meet new people (I knew no one either), I did it every year, but I know thats not everybodies cup of tea!

From the stories ive heard yes, yes it is..friend of a friend nearly got kicked out for lighting a fire... :D Gort or dun na corribe would probably be less hectic, but I have no experience with any student accommodation.. I never had the money up front so im an advocate for house sharing! ear plugs will be your friend wherever you go!:D

If you are living near the college get in touch with James Devenney from the School of Law to find out more, I studied law up there myself and he taught a few of my modules he is a really nice guy, he would be happy to answer your questions.
