    Folks,
We'd love to get away on a 'last minute' 'budget' sunny holiday any time from Dec 27th - Jan 6th, for anything between 5 - 7 nights.

I know New Years Eve will prob be expensive everywhere, but we are completely flexible and can go any date between the dates above. We'd be happy flying out Jan 1st if it made things cheaper.

Budget wise we'd like to spend maybe no more than 250 per person (2 of us) - we've seen some 'last minute' (but not the dates above) websites offering prices in this region for the likes of Lanzarote.

We're going to keep an eye on the usual websites but if anyone has any recommendations/hints/tips we'd be grateful.

    Thanks

Cheap deals won't be easy to come by for that period of year even last minute places will be limited. Lanzarote will probably cost the most than the other canaries as well.

Cheap last minute deals don't usually appear for peak times such as 27th December. I would suggest you double your budget and look towards fuerteventura. Budget Travel will sell you flights and a very basic apartment for around the €470 mark.

Wait till the schools reopen and you could probably spend a month on the island for the same price.

OK folks thanks for the info, I guess that time of year can be expensive because of school holidays etc.

Will keep our eyes peeled anyhow
