Considering buying one of these. Appear pretty decent and Irish made. Finding it difficult however to find any reviews on line. Does anyone have one and how are they working out please ?

    Hi Boru Stoves: Richard,

We recently put in an insert 600I. Just wondering if I should be concerned that the glass gets covered in thick bacl sut everytime I use it?

    Thanks

hi ruby... glass shouldn't go black if using correct fuel and operating it correctly. .

    Hi Jack180570,

Whats the correct fuel? I thought all types of fuel could be burned in the 600i?

    Hi pgkilro,
    I dont have a 600i but do have a i500 and a Carrig Mor.
Both (and the 600i) are multifuel stoves and are meant for burning coal, turf, briquettes and firewood. We burn just firewood in both the i500 and Carrig Mor.

What I meant by correct fuel relates to firewood, it needs to be under 25% MC or otherwise it will blacken the glass and also will cause a buildup of creostote in your chimney.

Cheers Jack, just burning firelogs at the moment. No firewood......
