    Helo
    I want to introduce myself.
My name is Konrad and i live in Poland
For few weeks i am fighting with the Ford about my lights in the car because i think this is unacceptable in new car
Last year i bought my first new car the Ford Mondeo, from my local dealer.
After a month i noticed a dust inside headlights in the same year i also got some insects inside rearlights
Here are what i am talking about:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmDRPaoh2wQ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl0HPDXC-2Q

The Ford Poland said that the dust is normal, and the insects inside the lights are ACCEPTABLE - could You believe this?

Maybe i am crazy but i was in Opel, VW, and Citroen and they said that there is something wrong with the lights.
Tell me what do You think about this?

    Best Regards

I've seen this on nearly every brand of car.

The headlight unit is supposed to be sealed away from dirt, insects and water drop (they plough headlong into rain). However, the unit is suppose to be able to "breathe" to allow the hot air to expand and any moisture to expand, so generally there are drain holes towards the bottom rear of the unit.

Now, I'm not familiar with Ford's but, I would think that dust/dirt/insects inside the headlight unit, would be unusual unless there's a crack or rear cover cap missing. I've two 10 year old Honda's and while yellowing outside, the inside of the headlights are spotless.

As for the moisture? This is not acceptable and ultimately indicates a sealing failure in the units (front and rear) as significant water is getting in.

    I'd fight.

why risk damaging Ford Ireland's sales when your fight is with Ford Poland?

I just asking You for advice because i found out this is one of the biggest automotive forums over the net:)
I dont want to harm Your national distribution, i also guess that Ireland dealer would not do any problems to fix this:)

I think the fight is with Ford rather than a specific country. We don't get specific "Irish" tail lights

TBH all cars have their faults and I would imagine the OP is trying to gather as much opinion and information he/she can to build a case to support their claim against Ford - we live in the European block and warranties must be honoured throughout. I see the OPs post no different that if I post a question on a UK site asking for an opinion.
