Tabloid trendpieces should be taken with an entire shaker of salt. But the headline "Over Half of Women Admit They Have Woken Up In A Bad Mood With Their Partner Because He Annoyed Them... In A DREAM" does not require any additional sodium. It is 100% correct, based on totally unscientific anecdata.
This finding has all the markings of bull****; it was conducted by a UK chain of hotels and reported on by the Daily Mail, which is like two scoops of Probably Not Real. But — hand to God — this is a real thing. And learning that other women do it made me feel slightly less crazy.

(Full disclosure, it links back to... the DAILY MAIL!!!! )

Funnily enough I was just talking about this the other day!

Seems to be far more widespread than just happening to me and the brother.

Anyone care to share their story?

This ever happened to any lads out there?

I once woke up and punched an ex in the face because I had a dream he was planning on keeping me locked in his wardrobe as a sex slave.

Yep, was in a mood with me for about 3 or 4 hours after she had a dream I was cheating on her.

Dreams are just your subconscious messing with you. You play out fears and insecurities through them. Like falling and being naked in public are dreams that can happen regularly. It's just a dream and if you over analyse it you need help.

Turns out my insecurities are that I have psychic powers and can use them to rob banks...awesome

I know you disclaimered it but this is the third "Scientific" article, sourced by the Daily Mail on AH in the last 24 hours. What is going on.

I know it's screwed up! At least this one is basically just hearsay and anecdote... unlike some of the other ones they try to pass off as actual journalism!

Been there, done that, killed the ex (in her dream) and suffered for it for a couple of days......even though I was fast asleep a long way away from her :D

Ehhhhhh not really. If your dreams are making you more aware of your fears and insecurities that would surely help you to work on eliminating them no?

Another boardsie told me this happened him before, I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard :pac:
(He'll be along shortly I'm sure)

Then my friend in work told me she was weird to her boyfriend because he had murdered someone in her dream!

I think that's frickin hilarious :pac:

Being pissed off with someone over something they literally did not do is the height of nuttiness.

On one of those depressing threads about being abused as a kid here, someone wrote one of their parents gave them a hiding over dreaming about them doing something to anger them.

It sure is, but that story is really pretty horrific.. poor thing.
