need help with coinops to old arcade monitor

the pc i had in my cab has died on me so i decided to just put an original xbox with coinops on it in the cab so i could still have light gun support as the cab was originaly a gun game and would rather keep them with it, anyway i made up one of the cables so the xbox would put out SRGB at 15Khz and put together the lm1881…

the pc i had in my cab has died on me so i decided to just put an original xbox with coinops on it in the cab so i could still have light gun support as the cab was originaly a gun game and would rather keep them with it, anyway i made up one of the cables so the xbox would put out SRGB at 15Khz and put together the lm1881 circuit for the sync signals and have it runnng through the old type (ps2) jpac into the arcade monitor (hanatrex polo star 25") so the problem i have is no matter how i adjust the pots on the monitor the games with a bright background just wont look right no matter what i try the background seems to wash out all the rest of the colour on the screen ecspecialy if the background is white. So if anybodyhas any experience with this i would be very gratefull if you could advise me on how you dealt with this problem
