Hi, I have just changed the front brake pads and discs and sensors, on my 2004 E200, even though there was still quite a bit left on the pads, but now the warning light on the dash says. Brake wear go to workshop. Anyone out there have any ideas on this......Thanks

Did you replace the brake wear sensors?

try cleaning the plug and socket of the pad wear sensor with some contact cleaner and see if it works.

Are the pads Genuine or spurious ?

I presume you pushed the connector in till it clicked?

The pads are suitable for a merc, bought them in the local auto parts outlet, but possible not genuine Merc parts. Many thanks for any suggestions.

I'm wondering if disconecting the sensors has in some way upset the onboard computer, and that perhaps it may have to be reset. ?
