Love/Hate plot holes and continuity errors (contains spoilers for all seasons)

    Some Ive noticed whilst rewatching the show from the start:

    Ruth Bradley as Mary Treacy just completely disappearing from the show without explanation, she didnt even show up
    after Darren died.

    Darren's accent comes and goes in some scenes quite noticeably.

    If Darren
    had the ability to build a pipebomb
    then why didnt Nidge ask him for one instead sourcing one elsewhere?

    What others have you noticed?

    Funniest continuity one was Darren's disappearing/reappearing smig in one episode towards the end of Series 2.

    It was explained, Darren said she didn't want to talk to him as he was involved in crime. We didn't see Darren's funeral, she may well have been at it.

    His moustache seemed to disappear and reappear throughout most of the first two seasons, sometimes in a cut in a single scene.

    Knew one guy who did. Met him about 15 or so years ago in a late non-lamented pub behind Dublin Castle (The Chinaman). And yes, he would have eaten Nidge for breakfast.

    There are continuity errors in all tv shows/movies,

    Example, how the **** did Batman get from a large well/hole in the middle of the desert to gotham city (where there was a lockdown) with no id or money.

    Cant we just enjoy the show without nitpicking? Love Hate like all tv shows will have issues, the ones mentioned in the OP avoidable as the actress left the show and there was an explanation given

    seasons 4 was the worse , the dentist assistant landing in at the Garda station over nothing (overcharging for crowns) ,rushed job , the whole Garda angle this season didn't help the show.

    She was sacked for asking questions with regards to the crowns and it probably didn't take a genius to figure out there was something else going on.

    I would say more "rushed" than "plothole"

    The writers were trying to shoehorn a 10/12 episode show into 6
