12 weeks to get new line connected - why so long???

    We appied for a line to be connect to a new house on 23 October and we have now been told it will be 16 January before an engineer will be out.   Why so long? The house is new but is all wired up. The housing estate is six years old and we are the last house to be occupied. The delay in being connected is unacceptable.
