Recommend me a NAS drive

I've never bought nor used a NAS drive before so I'm hoping some of you could recommend me a brand or specific model that has proven reliabilty. Requirements: 1TB storage should be enough. It needs to support automatic backup and the ability to mirror to an external disk. Speed isnt really critical. I dont really care for…

I'm assuming that most of them require you to buy the HDD separately???
