STAMP 4 and Northern Ireland

I am on a Stamp 4 visa here in Ireland and was offered work where my principle area of work is in Republic of ireland but the work specification states that I might have to undertake client works in Northern Ireland as well Can I go to NI and work on short term with my stamp 4?

you are on stamp 4 which is a visa that gives you the permission to work and reside in ireland, northern ireland is a different jurisdiction,i.e part of UK so your company has to get you a work permit for UK afaik

No, a stamp 4 gives you no permission to work in Northern Ireland. In fact it doesn't even give you permission to cross the border. Best thing to do is contact the UK immigration Hotline to see what options are available to you.

After getting EU FAM 4 you have the same rights as your spouse. According to the Directive 2004/38/EC. Your employer is in Ireland and i don't see any problem you are going over there and working if its not on a permanent basis. Of course to working on permanent basis you have to apply for EEA2 which is completely a different topic.

There's a difference between eufam 4 and stamp 4,regardless,in EU fam 4,you exercise the rights where your spouse or family resides,it doesn't give you a blanket entry to all countries in EU unless the said family member is residing inthe same state! So to the OP,with either of the stamps,you need permission from the respective state!

I'm SW engineer and non-eu. I have stamp4 (work permit as a critical skills) and my company wants I visit the client in NI some days in a month. Is it possible, I mean legally?

That depends on your nationality but Stamp 4 is an Irish Visa and N. Ireland is in the UK so no in general.

This is a complex legal area - I'd suggest that your company should get some professional legal advice about the immigration law issues involved. It may be possible for you to do work in the UK if you are only visiting clients but are still being paid by the company here in the republic.

yes...tell them to get ur VISA done...i know many frnds who visit UK and are on stamp 4 but they all got VISA...

No. You need a visa to even visit NI.
