Wall Re-Build or possible salvage unstable wall

I have recently inherited a property and noticed the rear adjoining wall, which is over 10 metres long, has no supporting pillars and also has a vertical crack mid-way. It is not stable.
Could I salvage this wall by tying in Concrete posts that can withstand with high stress (something like lintils) say every 6 to 8 foot or do I ultimately have to knock and rebuild the wall. Cost is an issue as I don't have funds to do a rebuild.:(
