Cloud Support Associate

I have just been offered a job as a cloud support associate with Amazon and was wondering if anyone has any insights into what life is like at Amazon/MNC in general as I am a fresh college grad with only experience in startups.

I also have been offered a job in a startup for less money which I think I would be good at but have a tough decision to make on which opportunity to go for...

Any insights on what life is like at Amazon in Dublin or in general would be great.

IMO... Don't make that decision based on money.
The difference for a fresh grad won't be much.
What would swing it for me is the training they will provide, and where your skill set would be in 1 year.
"Fresh grads" don't have the skills required, and I wouldn't be looking at a start up until you can describe yourself as a hotshot engineer or an experienced developer or something.

Good luck BTW, amazon generally work their engineers hard, but they say a good year in amazon is worth three years experience!

Thanks Fuzzy, I accepted the amazon offer. Hopefully it turns out to be the right decision! Sure I expected to work flat out for the first few years in my career so the fact that they expect it doesn't really bother me. Can't wait to get stuck in and start working now!!

Congrats. Listen, learn and build in your spare time.
If you have the talent, or if you can learn to have it, you will find yourself rising to the top quicker than any other industry.
