husbands laptop acting up and will not boot in Windows.
Brought into PC World and they sound like they will just wipe it and re-image again. Said it would be €65 + any additional cost for damaged hardware etc..

Anywhere else in galway that would be bit cheaper to re-image with Windows?
were not bothered with losing what on the laptop right now.

If PC world used the term re-image you should tell his manager, the techy needs to be sacked for being completely incompetent.

Most recent laptops have a 'recovery partition' that you can use to restore it to the day you first got it, its usually accessed by pressing a particular key while it boots (depends on make/model). Google for details.
