Quick question for all you knowledgeable motoring types. Car was rear ended yesterday and im in the process of arranging repair. Liability is all sorted etc. Is it best to use the repair centre the insurance company have offered or to get a quote from a main dealer with a view to getting them to do the work?? Car is a ford?
    Thx

if its new(ish) go to main dealer. Thats what I did when it happened to me.

But as it happens they used the same company as the insurance company (AXA) were going to use anyway!

ask the main dealers who they use for repairs

there's no harm in getting a quote from the main dealers anyhows.

Just be aware that most main dealers will not have their own body shop, most will farm the work out to a local body shop.

If the other party has accepted liability then you as the injured party, are entitled to get your car repaired at a place of your choice. Wherever you get it repaired from just make sure that it is repaired to a standard you are happy with.
