Both cards owned/operated by the same company so can't imagine there's a huge difference. They also own Texaco, Fuelwise, Fuel Plus.... Few more aswel that I can't think of. You may be better considering having a credit card just for diesel, at least you could shop around for the best price and you'd likely get longer credit terms.

But there is stamp duty on CC. DCI ups you diesel price constantly until you phone them to say they are more expensive than the pump prices and they then lower the diesel price again.

Can you top these cards up at start of the month so as too have that few quid set aside for fuel for commuting ?

If so which one is the best one?

Don't think you can. Have the DCI card, most of the time it beats the price down here but this week it isn't, so I just buy the fuel straight from the pump.

Would be handy to have one of these for credit but also topup at start of the month like a leap card. That way I be more in control when filling the car up and not goning around with the light on :-)

Just got fed up of the DCI crowd with their random fuel prices and have now moved to the AA fuel card which gets you 2c off the pump price at all Topaz stations. I know Topaz is probably one of the dearest around but 2c brings them in line.

The real joy that the fuel card brings to me as I am self employed is that all the invoices are now from one company.

DCI occasionally (once in a blue moon) are a good price for diesel. I buy most of my fuel in bulk and now and again the DCI price can beat it, the card costs nothing when you're not using it.

Switched the vans from DCI to Texaco / Maxol only cards fot better pricing. DCI could charge 5-8c per liter aboce pump prices. Get on the phone and complain and at one point actually went through a few months purchases to get a credit on the account.

Just decided they were too much hassle and not worth it. No issues so far with Texaco apart from the smaller network.

Do all these cards give credit for a week or longer? Any of them for a month - be handy when you are paid monthly like

Had a €5000 credit limit with DCI....
there was only 2 little catches, weekly invoicing/DD and a €5k deposit! Was going through an average of €2100 a week so they had themselves well and truly covered!
