VRT query

I did do a quick search, but forgive me if this has been asked before...

I am thinking of buying a car in the UK as a parts car, mainly for the high spec leather interior and a few trimmings. The car itself is actually a good runner.

I realise that if bring this car in on the back of a trailer and it sits in my garage for a few years that's fine, but what if I wanted to VRT in 2 years time?

Presumably the paperwork will reflect I bought it in 2013. Will I get stung for not VRTing within 30 days etc?

Do you know anybody in the North? Or someone who will let you transfer it to your/ there name there? Do this and you will have no bother.
